How long can a foreign citizen, resident in Ecuador, stay abroad, without losing their migratory status?

Foreign citizens with temporary residence can leave the country 90 days in the first year and 90 in the second year.

Foreign citizens with permanent residence can leave the country for 180 days in the first year and 180 days in the second year taking into account the date of granting the migratory status (LOMH 06 February 2017) and after the first two years. Who is absent from the country for five or more years without returning to Ecuador will lose the migratory status.
