Spanish for Seniors

Learn Ecuadorian Spanish grammar and vocabulary with practical situational instruction, and cultural insights. This course is geared toward retirement-age students, with an emphasis on review and practice to augment retention.

Course Instructor has a degree in Spanish and a background teaching Spanish as a second language to retirement-age students. Six years living in Imbabura, Ecuador and several years as a Peace Corps volunteer has provided valuable experience for a productive classroom experience.

Levels 1 and 2 will be given in English, with ample practice exercises in Spanish.

Course Details:
Both classes will be starting in November 2013. There will be no class on Thanksgiving Day, and there will be a break from December 13-January 6, with classes ending February 2014.

Class location is in Cotacachi, across the street from El Colegio Las Lomas, on Pedro Moncayo street past the hospital.

3-month session for $210 total (including 12% tax):
-24 total days (96 total hours) of class
-$2.19/hour of class
-3 outings (There will be one local outing each month, to practice Spanish in a real setting and/or learn practical and cultural insights.)

Level 1 class Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 11am-1pm and 2:30pm-4:30pm.
Level 2 class Mondays and Wednesdays, from 11am-1pm and 2:30pm-4:30pm.

Payment is requested to be made in full prior to the start date of the course. Sorry, no month-by-month payment or refunds. An official Ecuadorian IRS invoice will be provided, which you can use for tax purposes.
