RESTAURANTS
No guarantees friends. I don’t know if all of these restaurants are still open, moved, etc. I do not guarantee the accuracy of the addresses or phone numbers, many of which were on the list of restaurants posted on Cotacachi page on Facebook. I have not eaten at all of the restaurants nor will I be giving out directions. There are many other places to eat in Cotacachi – little chicken places in many doorways (my favorite is the one on the corner of 10 de agosto y Sucre (by one of the multitude of ferreterias around here). Last, but not least, please do not be surprised if the person answering many of the phones listed only speaks Spanish.

on the Cuicocha Pana above Quiroga. It is on the right hand side going towards the lake. Nice and light inside, comfortable, unEcuadorian-like chairs and a nice big fireplace to ward off the chill. The food was delicious, the service friendly and accommodating. Jeanine and her children are the wait staff. They serve really cold beer and also wine. Be sure and try the Beef Bitter Balls, crispy outside, moist, flavorful and nicely spiced on the inside.

Trebol’s current hours are Thursday – Sunday, 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. We offer a variety of American food, specializing in burgers.
Friday’s special is fish and chips, served all day. Address is Gonzalez Suarez 12-36 and 10 de Agosto.
Trebol on Saturdays has right fine pizza. Build your own from the “check off” menu, everything from extra sauce to 1/2 or no cheese to mushrooms, onion, garlic, all the usual suspects. Nice light crust, very good sauce. Quite satisfying to this pizza lover!
