I just wanted to share this information. I just got a 90 day visa extension in Ibarra at the oficina de Inmigración. You need to go to immigration FIRST! They will give you a form to fill out and a piece of paper that you need to take to the banco pacífico and pay the amount 128.00 US. The bank will give you a receipt. You go back to immigration with your receipt, your passport and your form filled out and they will give you the paper showing you have an additional 90 days. IMPORTANT! You must go to the bank on the same day that you will go to immigration, NOT before. Don’t ask me why or to rationalize it, it makes no sense to me but that’s the way it is, remember where you are
