This from Expats in Quito – It’s finally here; for those interested to go to Cuenca, Loja, or Guayaquil, but can’t stand those inter-provincial buses with their eternally locked-bathrooms and especially, the lousy films you’re forced to hear whether you want to see them or not: EcuVanTur and Christland Service now offer clean “busetas” that depart daily, not from Quitumbe or Carcelen, but rather close by next to the Iglesia de Santa Teresita on Robles and 9 de Octubre. A seven-hour trip to Cuenca is only $25, and includes not only WiFi, but USB ports to recharge your phone. There’s one stop for lunch. If you’re interested, contact Sixto Bolivar to reserve at 098 597 3497, and spread the news.
