New Quito Airport Solution #1: Stay within 10 minutes of the airport at La Marmite Hotel & Restaurant. Chef Pierre Mordasini has created a hotel, rental and housing community about 20 miles from Quito (45 minute drive) and eight minutes from the new airport.
The property is in a Swiss chalet style on over 10 acres of grounds so it is quiet and peaceful. The chef offers French/Swiss food in his kitchen.

New Quito Airport Solution #2: Avoid Quito at Inn Land of the Sun in Cotacachi. The new airport is north of Quito and much closer to Cotacachi… so much so that with the traffic difference… the Inn is almost as close in time as Quito hotels. Meet and greet at the airport by a Cotacachi driver, low cost ($45). This is an alternative to avoid Quito. Overnight in Cotacahi and if you have a day enjoy the Crafts Trail: leather village of Cotacachi, the Otavalo markets, the weavings of Peguche.
